Door-to-door canvassing in the FieldEdge mobile app
The Canvass tab is FieldEdge's door-to-door canvassing interface. Work through a list of contacts, log outcomes, take surveys, and add tags — all from your phone or tablet, online or offline.
The Canvass menu can be turned on or off per user type in App Customization.
When you tap Canvass from the bottom navigation bar, you see a list of your active walks. If you haven't created any walks yet, the screen shows an empty state with a button to create your first walk.

Once you've started a walk, you can flip between two ways to view your list:

Generally speaking, we recommend creating separate and unique lists for each canvasser. However, you may find some cases where you want canvassers to share a list (for example if they are walking odds & evens) or their lists may contain the same households.
To help you avoid unintentionally knocking the same door twice, it's recommended canvassers:
a. Coordinate with each other This way they can be aware of the houses and streets the other people plan to knock
b. Use the "Sync Household Statuses" feature Every few households, press sync to get any updates (completed houses) from other canvassers.
You do not need to use this to sync your data, only to get other peoples data
