Tags are a key concept in NationBuilder and FieldEdge for categorizing contacts. Tags are virtual sticky notes added to profiles to describe a characteristic that can help you target people with what they care about most.
Once the Tag action is open, you can add a new tag.
To view a list of people tagged with a specific tag, head to People and tab the "Tags" tab at the top. You can now scroll or search to find the specific tag. Tap on the tag name to view a list of people.
If you use certain tags to indicate important information about contacts, you can nominate them to be highlighted at the top of profiles in FieldEdge—ensuring they’re always seen. You can also choose to hide specific tags from users, keeping profiles clean, focused and privacy-focused.
To customize tag visibility and highlights, go to the Tags tab under App Customization in your HQ Dashboard, and select which tags to highlight or hide.
One of the most useful survey actions is auto-tagging. When integrated with FieldEdge, it allows for granular segmentation based on survey responses. For instance, during canvassing activities, you can use tags to categorize voters based on their interests, their likelihood to support a campaign, or other criteria relevant to your strategy.
To auto-apply tags, when setting up your survey in NationBuilder, look for the "Tag the responder with" field at the survey, question and possible response level.
To edit tags from a contact in FieldEdge, tap the Tag action button to the left of the tags or via the menu (grid icon).
