# Using Advanced Surveys as Scripts

FieldEdge allows you to create scripts or talking points that staff and volunteers can follow during outreach conversations.

Instead of using a separate document, the script can be built directly in FieldEdge so users can follow prompts and record responses in the same place. This helps keep conversations consistent while capturing useful information from each interaction.

Scripts text can integrated into a survey, using the Advanced Survey feature.

As users move through the survey, they can follow the talking points and record answers. Responses are saved directly to the contact’s record in NationBuilder.

### Creating a Script

To create a script, simply build an NationBuilder Survey and include talking points by using the special "Script" field type from FieldEdge's Advanced Survey language.

This guide explains how to create a survey, add questions and script text.
