# Sharing lists while canvassing

Generally speaking, we recommend create seperate and unique lists for each canvasser. However, you may find some cases that you want canvassers to share a list (for example if they are walking odds & evens) or their lists may contain the same households.

To help you avoid unintentionally knocking the same door twice, it's recommended canvassers:

**a. Coordinate with each other**\
This way they can be aware of the houses and streets the other people plan to knock

**b. Use the "Sync Household Statuses" feature**\
Every few households, press sync to get any updates (completed houses) from other canvasses.

{% hint style="info" %}
You do not need to use this to sync your data, only to get other peoples data
{% endhint %}
